This is a collection of field recordings captured between July 2013 and February 2016. Found Folk Sounds is an ongoing project to document a tiny slice of the DIY folk underground scene. I want to say thanks to all the bands and musicians for trusting me to record you and release your music. I hope this music will be of some interest to music listeners for a long time to come. In my head I imagine people from the future wondering about the house shows we used to go to and what our authentic folk culture was like - I hope these recordings will stand as one document of our times. Also, it's just fun to record your friends' awesome music and release it. Stay tuned for Found Folk Sounds, Vol. 3!
